March: How-to's: Interactive session on managing socnets

Help yourself and learn to become a better resource for everyone around you by learning how others manage their social networks.

Those brilliant nuggets of life you find on the Internet, during the workday, or outside your front door can be shared quickly and easily. Using programs ranging from Twitter to FireFox plugins, tell your social networks about what's important to you without spending hours at your computer.

Presenters: Brian Hayashi & Naomi "Mimi" Meredith
Brian Hayashi will provide a brief overview of the most efficient time management strategies from all over the web, using free services like Friendfeed, Yahoo Pipes and Dapper. In about 20 minutes, you'll learn how to use these tools to become indispensable, seemingly without effort.

Brian Hayashi is the CEO and founder of ConnectMe 360, a mobile tech consulting firm for leisure and consumer brands. Brian has built and managed interactive programs for companies like Coca-Cola USA, Jones Lang LaSalle, and Molson Coors. Prior to ConnectMe 360 Brian was the founder of startup Mallfinder Networks and a director for TCI Technology Ventures, the venture capital arm of Tele-Communications Inc. Brian has been active with the Interactive Advertising Bureau and the DataPortability Project.

Naomi "Mimi" Meredith likes to plan, organize, and tell people about the nuggets she finds everyday. The desire to connect people with what they want and need gives her an eclectic background, from teaching swimming and dance to coding and design. She can be found out in the internets as "NaomiMimi".

Bring your laptops! This is a hands-on session, and we will have wireless access, so bring your laptop to try out what you're learning.
