
Margaret brought her passion for social media to her position at Qwest supporting the consumer product organization, and has played a key role in developing Qwest’s social media strategies, including the creation of Qwest’s social media customer service initiative called “
Talk to Qwest.”
She spends several hours a week educating both internal and external stakeholders about the social media planning process, and how it differs from traditional program planning.
How it all began: In the fall of 1995 a visiting professor at the U of I told Margaret that hyperlinks were going to change the world, and ever since then she was determined to figure out exactly what that meant. Over the last 10 years, Margaret has been a PR practitioner in Denver with a focus on striking the right balance between traditional and digital media. And in 2009, she is convinced that hyperlinks have changed the world.
