Last Thursday's Denver Twestival was a huge success! The 150+ folks in attendance, along with online donations, raised over $4,000. $4K is a crucial benchmark- it's enough money to buy and install a water well for a town. In addition to a lot of beer, silent auction shopping and tweeting, Tsegaye Hailu, a former UN official, gave a great talk on the water crisis and its impact on his native country, Ethiopia.
Congrats to Chuck Blakeman and crew for pulling off one of the 200+ events worldwide!
